Seeing the Sights

Last week was such a fun adventure as my mother, sister, grandmother and aunt all came to visit me and some other family in the area for the weekend. We crammed so much into those five days! I can’t even believe it. Even more amazing was how well my mother did despite the fact that it’s only been two weeks since she broke both sides of her mandible (lower jaw) and her arm in a biking accident. I was impressed she still wanted to come out but so happy to see her.

After a long day in the car down to Mt. Rainer (and some hiking later that afternoon outside the park) Harley is wanting to get in the hot tub too!
Both pups were exhausted by the end of the trip.
At Pike’s Place with my mom and sister.
While I have been in the Space Needle countless times, we also took the opportunity to see the Chihuly exhibit. I’ve always loved blown glass and these were just so neat!

We did all of the big sites: Rainer, Mt. St. Helens (which I hadn’t seen in 15 years and was still way cool!), Space Needle, Pike’s Place. Probably the best part was that my sister had never seen any of this (and Eric hadn’t seen most) so it was fun to be able to show her everything. She especially loved the market.

And now that they’re gone it’s back to the grind of figuring out Dandy and finding a job. I was lucky enough to get a temp position for the week which will be helping to cover some exciting changes for Dandy in the next month. More on that later though. 🙂
