Laundry and Other Things

I have never been so excited to do laundry (and strongly suspect that I never will again)!

Yes, we finally have a washer and dryer! The dryer is super touchy, however, and needs the door held open otherwise it will start at random times during the day and night. Plus the timer is LOUD and does not stop. But I’m not complaining; I have a washer and dryer! Eric spent all afternoon installing them and making sure everything was tight. We did two loads last night and I’ve started again the minute I got back from the barn. We sort of have a ton to do….

Today I did some errands in the morning before meeting the vet for Dandy’s vaccinations at noon. Dandy of course was perfect, didn’t care at all. I really like the vet as well. She was very friendly and really wanted to know Dandy’s history. Guinness rode with me up to Carson for the errands but he wasn’t especially pleased, until I came out of Target with a new toy:

Anyway, there’s not a whole lot to update on so I’m just going to post some photos from the past few weeks.

Eric and I went skiing a few weekends ago. We got up there sorta early (still had to park in the back of the lot but there weren’t many people there). Eric took me to the Galaxy chair which I had never been on and it was pretty empty. Galaxy is a nice run but the chair is a very old two seater. It really scoops you up and if they have to stop it for someone, it swings. I got a bit nauseous on the chair but loved the run. By the time we got back to East Peak the ┬ámountain was packed. That was our cue to head back to the slice and have a beer.

Then this happened one night… Yes, Guinness thought a sharpie would be a fun thing to chew on. He couldn’t even deny it was him as he had pen all over his legs and tongue. After a second night of him pulling a wine bottle out of the rack and a third night where he chewed up my work papers, it has been decided that from now on… kennel for the pup. We gave him a lot of chances to fix his behavior and did our best to put tempting new “toys” out of the way but nothing seemed to work. He’s got no one to blame but himself.
