Jumping Pony in Training

You would not believe the trouble I had getting these photos on my computer and then getting them uploaded. It was crazy! But after two weeks I finally figured it out. Lucky you!

A few weeks ago, the fiance came out to hopefully take some jumping pictures of me and GusGus.

Poor Eric. He was being such a good fianc√© and I left him sitting on the fence. Not to mention I was a little annoyed and wanted jumping pictures, not flat pictures! But that’s horses, right?

Finally Gus started to listen a little bit so I was able to do a little bit of jumping. I had set up a little exercise to keep him from rushing, and kept the jumps low so I could work on myself (my equitation has just gotten awful). But all the jumps in the ring were pretty low so I had other options like the Crayola X-rail. DSC_0458 DSC_0469

Gus did not appreciate the exercise, he wants to run. But eventually we got a couple good passes and started bumping the jump up. Unfortunately then we ran out of light. Oh well!

Now he is getting a break from the jumping to really let it soak in. I’m excited to get back to it though.
