Since I’m not a big fan of turkey, and I don’t like pumpkin pie at all, the Thanksgiving meal is not really something I look forward to each year. Now if we’re having apple pie? That’s a whole different story! But I do really appreciate the thought behind the holiday and this year, more than probably any other, I have a lot to be thankful for.
I’m thankful for my wonderful boyfriend, Eric, who has always been supportive of my horse hobby. He’s been there with me when I’m happy and the days are good just as he’s been there when I’m sobbing into my wine glass. I couldn’t ask for a more faithful guy and I am so very very lucky to have him in my life.
I’m thankful I don’t work at that horrid job anymore.
I’m thankful for Guinness who has kept me company and my spirits up during my job search. He might not like snuggling with me but he always does it. He puts up with me dressing him up and taking him all over the country.
I’m thankful for my family and getting to see them last week. It’s hard living so far away.
I’m thankful for Dandy (of course) and all the lessons we’ve learned together. I’m thankful for all the things I’ve gotten to do with him and I look forward to all the things we’ll get to do.
I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had here to take lessons and learn. And to show!
I’m thankful for all my friends. Those that I get to see multiple times a week and those that I see only occasionally.
