Christmas

Did everyone have a good Christmas? Despite this being the first year away from home and no visit back I had a great couple of days with the guy, the puppy, and my adoptive “family” out here, aka, Krissie and her wonderful family.

Monday was the boy and I having a wonderful lamb dinner and opening presents. (The boy went way overboard, I love him). We then went to the local bar to have a drink and it was packed! We managed to find the perfect corner and hunkered down for a few hours. Big mistake. I was so hung over the next morning which sort of cut into our skiing all day plans. Oh well. Instead we cuddled up on the couch and started a Chuck marathon.

That afternoon we went over to Krissie’s for dinner. It was FABULOUS. Krissie made a fabulous prime rib, her dad brought over crab (!) and the atmosphere was just perfect. I felt right at home. If I couldn’t be home, I’m glad we went to Krissie’s.

The icing on the cake was that it started to snow so we had a white Christmas after all.

Dandy and I have both been on a break since the clinic but tomorrow it’s off to Madchen and then back to a normal riding schedule for the pony and I. My new winter riding breeches came today so I’m hoping that I’ll be a lot warmer tomorrow. And then we’ll return to our regularly scheduled Dandy updates. Happy holidays everyone!

    1. After wearing them and working at the barn yesterday, I have to admit that they are probably the best purchase I’ve made this year. 🙂

        1. I ended up getting the Smartpak Bradley Softshell. I tried their bradley breeches when they first came out and wasn’t too impressed but gave them a second chance. Glad I did.
